Quieenscliff sketching boats workshopAfter our sell-out April workshops in Castlemaine we are running a 3 day retreat with FOUR WORKSHOPS in the delightful, historic, seaside town of Queenscliff, Victoria September 20-23 in 2021 for anyone who would like to learn a fun and easy way to draw, create a great-looking travel sketchbook and understand the mysteries of how to use watercolour. (For those who attended our Castlemaine workshops in April the itinerary will be different so no overlap).

Learn how to create a lovely watercolour travel journal.  No experience is necessary and no talent required for this workshop.  Easy!

3 nights in the seaside  township of  SPRINGTIME Queenscliff  in our own private boutique hotel.

ALL MEALS included!  Experienced Sydney chef and artist Anna Barnes will cook all meals in our own comfortable luxury hotel kitchen.
Each day we have a workshop in our  private hotel on the long refectory table (coffee and snacks available) before a healthy lunch is served and then we are out each afternoon to put it all into practice and sketch the township together.
Anna will serve us a hearty dinner in our hotel each night and then after dinner you can socialise around the fireplace, enjoy a red wine, or go for a leisurely stroll in the town or down to the beach.

Arrive and check in on September 20. Tour begins that evening at 4.30 pm with a welcome drink followed by a group dinner together.
Depart after breakfast September 23. Last night in hotel is on September 5

These workshops will suit everyone whether you are a total beginner or you are a seasoned sketcher.

You produce according to your skill set and you learn from others around you.
Lots of gentle guidance and direction from your teacher shows you how easy it is to produce good results and you will improve enormously with each session.
There is no judgement, no fear, no criticism - just a really enjoyable experience.

KATE STEDMAN, an experienced teacher, takes you step-by-step in each workshop so that you never feel overwhelmed and the whole experience is fun as well as educational.

Your host and teacher Kate Stedman is also an historian and she will take you to her favourite spots and regale you with fun facts and historic gems each day to maybe add to your travel journal.
